Recycling and resource efficiency in manufacturing
In the manufacturing industry, recycling and resource efficiency can unlock large potential for innovation, growth and higher profitability. Today, on average, material consumption accounts for over 40% of operating costs in a medium-sized manufacturing company. When adding electricity, waste and wastewater treatment to the bill, material costs account for nearly 50% of all costs compared to an average of 20% for personnel costs.
This new REMake website on recycling and resource efficiency for the manufacturing industry wants to help unlocking this potential for eco-manufacturing in Europe. It offers hands-on information, technical expertise and practical tools for manufacturing SMEs and supply chains as well as experts in resource efficiency. Furthermore it encourages the exchange of experiences and showcases interesting eco-manufacturing examples.
If you want to share an eco-manufacturing experience, we look forward to receiving your contributions at “remake[at]icon-innovation.de“
