1. Implementation support
PIUS®
The PIUS® Check, a process-oriented tool, documents the relevant material flows and the current level of production technology in a company to identify possible improvements in production. It aims in low production costs in long term, environmentally compatible production and optimum product quality.
RE Network
Development of learning networks and subsequent professional support through moderation, exchange of experience and best practice, training and promotional measures for the profitable increase of resource efficiency in production or product use.
2. Potentiality analysis
STAN
Software for material and substance flow analysis for a system under given boundary conditions.
Environmental alternative assessment (EAMA)
Assess the economic feasibility of the implementation of environmental alternatives
3. Ecodesign and Lifecycle approaches
ATEP
Tool based on a methodology dedicated to eco-design mechanical products
Ecodesign Pilot
The ECODESIGN PILOT is a practical, easy-to-use webbased software tool for identification and application of ECODESIGN measures in product development.
The objective is to stimulate interest in environment-related product innovation and to provide clear advice on the implementation of Ecodesign for specific products.
ECO-TRIZ Guidelines
Support engineers and designers in order to find inventive ways to improve a product or a process in term of resources consumption.
eVerdEE
Software for life cycle assessment using a simplified approach.
CCaLC
CCaLC (Carbon Calculations over the Life Cycle) is a carbon footprinting tool that enables estimations of the life cycle greenhouse gas emissions along the whole supply chains. It is a life cycle methodology and decision-support tool and it enables estimations of the following environmental impacts:
- Carbon footprint (or Global warming potential);
- Acidification potential;
- Eutrophication potential;
- Ozone layer depletion potential;
- Photochemical smog; and
- Human toxicity potential.

4. Innovation management and finance
Quic
Resources Efficiency type projects relate to innovation. Before any implementation of a such a project a quick assessment of the innovation capacity of a company could help raising awareness on its innovation management skills. Thus further improvements steps could be initiated.
Symple®+decision profile
A potential analysis on Resource Efficiency will lead to an implementation process. Change management approaches are useful to support such implementation. Two tools are proposed in the REMake toolbox with dedicated objectives:
- The Symple® methodology facilitates the implementation of collective breakthrough change over long period of times
- The “ team decision profile questionnaire” helps diagnose team decision capabilities and flaws which may lead to shaping the initial team composition
BAT/BREF`s
Developed as part of the IPPC Directive (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control), BATS are the Best Available Techniques and technologies available within specific sectors aimed at reducing emissions levels. BREF’S are the supporting reference documents.
