The Scientific Society for Mechanical Engineering (GTE) in Hungary is a 60 years old, traditionally progressive scientific and technical society, that helps to focus the interest of its members (persons and enterprisers) to novel, innovative, high-tech solutions. Presently it has 3200 individual engineers, as members and 60 enterprises that have joined. GTE has the trust from its members, to act as a leading technology-transfer and innovation relevant organization, having a coverage of the whole territory of Hungary, with additional contacts to regions around our country border. Hungarian language is spoken in a rather large territory within the neighbouring countries.
Some of our recent Society-projects highlight the specific advantages of GTE:
By Project ‘OCTOPUS’, GTE prepared and harmonized a country-wide joint technology-upgrade for CNC and ROBOT application/programming courses, offering the most up-to-date technologies to all institutions, universities, and other educational entities teaching these subjects. By now, a unified, harmonized, Hungarian-language oriented, equally top-level training is available around all Hungary, offering both hands-on training and virtual machine operation and full e-learning facilities as well.
Almost each year, the largest industrial fair and exhibition events, like INDUSTRIA and MACH-TECH are offering demonstration sites for the most innovative scientific and technology-based results and achievements. GTE is contracted to manage and set up the exhibition pavilions that are to select and display all the results developed at the Hungarian higher-educational entities, at the academic research institutes and at the most successful development companies.
The key experts of GTE are all well-known and reputed scientific excellences in the fields of engineering, manufacturing sciences, energy- and environment savings, industrial automation and production technologies.
