Welsh businesses looking to lower costs in their manufacturing processes may be entitled to a free expert and technical advice up to the value of £17,000 from WRAP Cymru (Waste & Resources Action Programme in Wales).
During the MACH-TECH trade exhibition, taking place from 17-20 May 2011, the REMake project will be presented at the stand of GTE, (Scientific Society for the Mechanical Engineering in Hungary).
A workshop on “Sustainable Manufacturing in Europe – Innovation and Environmental Regulation” was held in Brussels on 1 February 2011 and combined with a Dinner Debate with Members of the European Parliament and the representatives from the European Commission. The aim was to bring together the view of manufacturing SMEs, industry leaders and the European Commission and discuss ideas how to make whole industry sectors more resource efficient and which role regulation should play to foster this process.
During one of the world wide leading industrial trade fairs Hannover Messe 2011 taking place from 4th to 8th April REMake will present the specially developed REMake Self Assessment Tool for Resource Efficiency to a broad audience.
